Lakeshore Talent is currently seeking a Business Development Representative for one of their clients located in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time direct hire position. We are looking for an experienced Sales Representative who is eager to embark on an exciting career journey in driving business growth and excellence in the commercial HVAC industry!

Job Title: Business Development Representative

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Work Schedule:

  • Flexible hours: Standard work days are Monday to Friday, with the possibility of adjusting hours (7am – 3pm) based on productivity and business needs.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary Range: $65,000 to $70,000, dependent on experience and proficiency.
  • Additional Benefits: Monthly car allowance, uncapped commissions, and competitive benefits package.
  • First-Year On Target Earnings (OTE): $90,400, with potential for growth based on performance.

Position Summary:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a vital member of the team responsible for driving new business growth by engaging with maintenance managers and directors, predominantly in the hospital, office building, and data center sectors. This role involves proactive prospecting, cold calling, and providing white-glove service to potential clients. The ideal candidate will be resilient, motivated by challenges, and possess a proven track record in business-to-business sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Master all facets of the maintenance sales process to achieve productivity and self-sufficiency.
  • Demonstrate strong sales acumen, financial literacy, and operational knowledge to drive new business acquisitions.
  • Qualify prospects, schedule effective appointments, follow up on leads, and address inquiries and objections proficiently.
  • Identify customer needs, influence buying decisions, and generate interest in our maintenance agreements.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the prospect’s decision-making process, addressing concerns and committing prospects to decision-making timelines.
  • Conduct proactive research on prospect organizations to tailor sales approaches based on organizational needs.
  • Conduct cold calls and effectively engage with decision-makers.
  • Manage quotes, close sales, and maintain an active backlog of quotes.
  • Understand vertical market strategies and market dynamics.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively through verbal and written channels.

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of business-to-business outside sales experience, preferably within a service industry.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Experience with cold calling and lead generation.
  • Previous exposure to CRM software preferred.
  • Background in selling HR/payroll services, account executive roles, staffing services, logistics sales, or real estate is advantageous.
